Zumba Addiction

I have not posted in a while because I was waiting for Zumba to come to my gym. I have taken several Zumba classes by different instructors and have learned that not all Zumba classes are alike. Some use more dance, while others have more of an aerobic vibe. Personally, I prefer Zumba classes with more dance, and with mostly latin music.
I really love Kim, from Gold's gym in Howell. I think she is amazing and has a lot of great energy to get the class going. She has a huge following, and has even done private Zumba parties in homes. I tend to compare every other Zumba instructor to her, and no one quite measures up. She has said not to give up, keep taking the classes and try different instructors so I am on a quest to find a Zumba teacher with the energy, moves and music equivalent to Kim's since I live in Long Island.
Zumba has finally made it to NYSC so I will be taking the classes there.

Hey, we've got a lot in common! I too am on WW and love it--have lost 30 lbs. in 6 months, but still have just a few to go. I'm studying to become a personal trainer to the boomer age group (MY group!) and the fitness director at my gym asked me to go to a workshop to become a Zumba instructor at our gym. I'm super excited about it!! I'd never even heard of it before last Friday, but now I can't wait! Thanks for your blogspot--I've enjoyed it...especially the Tanya Beardsley video...wow.

so happy to run across your blog!
I too am in love with zumba.. so much so that I actually got the nerve up to attend a workshop and become a certified instructor. (now if I only had the time and nerve to get going with it!!)
I am in Huntington and LOVE my zumba teacher too.. Like you said each instructor is so different, and My favorite.. Joanne Rossiter is unfortunately on maternity leave BUT her replacement Ana,has the same enthusiasm and heart. I also prefer MORE dance and MORE latin dance! If you ever want to travel to my neck of the woods.. I would be happy to give u more info.
(and we have more in common.. I am a WW lifetimer.. and I blog too)
