ZUMBA ROCKS!!!

Last Saturday morning at 8am I was dragged (against my will) by my girlfriend Kat to take a zumba class at Gold’s Gym. I now found my new addiction!

I was a bit nervous about taking this class because I have two left feet. The class was packed with men and women of all ages. As a cardio hater, I have to say I am now hooked! It was so much fun It did not feel like a workout. It felt more like a night out clubbing without the alcohol! Zumba is the best fun I've had burning calories! Anyone can do this.

Zumba is a fun and effective widely spreading intense dance-aerobics workout with pulsating latin music like samba, salsa, cumbia music as well as hip-hop and pop music. It was created by Alberto "Beto" Perez, a celebrity fitness trainer and choreographer for International pop superstars.

Zumba targets areas such as glutes, legs, arms, abdominals, and the heart! It is a mix of body sculpting movements and easy to follow dance steps, although you don't have to know how to dance to Zumba!

After the class, we spoke to the zumba instructor who btw had an amazing body (it was really hard not to notice) and we were surprised to learn she has three kids! She told us she lost 30 lbs doing zumba after her last child.

The first thing I did when I got home after the class was to google Zumba classes near my home. My gym does not offer zumba classes but there are a few gyms further away that do. I am actually now considering switching gyms just for Zumba.

I am not one for work outs at all, but this sounds like a great way for me to lose some weight doing what I love, dancing, thanks for the information.

Sounds really great. I am up for anything that doesn't feel like exercise and that will help me lose some of the cheeseburgers that have now taken up residency on my behind. If you find any gyms nearby would you mind posting them?
